JLC Community Christmas Fair
A Magical Evening at the John Leggott College Community Christmas Fair
The weather outside might have been frightful, but the atmosphere at our Community Christmas Fair was nothing short of delightful! On Friday 13th December, John Leggott College was transformed into a festive wonderland, bringing holiday cheer to our local community. The evening brought together families, local businesses, and our wider community to celebrate the magic of the holiday season in a truly special way.
The event welcomed over 80 children who had the chance to meet Santa himself in his grotto, complete with twinkling lights and holiday cheer. Santa did a fantastic job bringing joy and excitement to each child who visited, creating memories to last a lifetime. Families also got creative at our crafting stations, making festive decorations and keepsakes to take home.
Meanwhile, our marketplace was a treasure trove of local talent, featuring more than 40 stalls selling beautiful handmade goods. From unique gifts to seasonal treats, there was something for everyone to enjoy. It was heartwarming to see our community come together to shop locally and support small businesses, showcasing the creativity and hard work of our local artisans.
A Celebration of Community
At John Leggott College, we believe that community is at the heart of everything we do, and this year’s Christmas Fair was a shining example of what we can achieve when we come together.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible. From the volunteers who gave their time so generously, to the businesses who donated gifts, every contribution made a difference.
Special thanks go to:
Santa, who created such a magical experience for the children.
Our talented stallholders, whose handmade creations were a joy to browse.
Our dedicated student ambassadors and staff, who worked tirelessly to ensure the event ran smoothly.
The generous donors, including Nolan Interiors, Twistedesign, Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, and Nisa Retail, whose contributions helped make the event truly special.
It’s this incredible spirit of collaboration that made the fair such a success.
A Festive Tradition in the Making
The Community Christmas Fair was not only a celebration of the holiday season, but also a reflection of what makes our community so special. The feedback from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive, and we’re already thinking about how we can make next year’s event even better.
While we don’t have a date for the next fair just yet, one thing is certain: we can’t wait to welcome everyone back for another magical evening of festive fun.
Thank you once again to everyone who attended, contributed, and supported this wonderful event. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
