Mock Trial with University of Hull

Seven of our first year Law students attended the annual Inter 6th Mock Trial at the University of Hull on Friday. JLC entered 2 teams who represented fictitious clients in civil cases in the university court room and both teams won their heats! The students were judged by academics and lawyers, including an actual judge.

Our learners were awarded signed copies of books by The Secret Barrister and made real industry connections with Nicki Rhodes from Ramsdens Solicitors in Leeds.

A big thank you to the University of Hull for being so accommodating and to Dr Rick Rhodes from Sirius Academy for inviting John Leggott College along again. We look forward to next years competition!
